We do this with a close-knit and dedicated team: we work together. Our employees undergo thorough internal training. A process that takes three to six months. Complete sorting, in which product recognition plays the most important role, is our speciality.

History

Xycles boasts a long history. In 1985, the company started under the name Joan Smaal Textile Recycling, in Woerden. As a result of rapid growth, the company moved to Hardinxveld-Giessendam in 1994. This location was built with the expertise and experience gained in the years before. To this day, we operate from Hardinxveld-Giessendam.

In 2018, Joan Smaal Textile Recycling was acquired by TRD Group, which has been active in the same industry since 2000. Similar to Joan Smaal Textile Recycling, it is a close-knit family business.

With the second generation at the helm, a decision was made for a name change from Joan Smaal Textile Recycling to Xycles. This positions the company for a sustainable future for the next generations.
